Our home features cathedral ceilings and beautiful clerestory windows. While I have enjoyed gazing at the stars through the high window in our bedroom, it also ushers in early morning light, which was disturbing my husband’s sleep. We were at an impasse for 20 years until Brandon offered a solution: He installed shades that remain open through the dark of night, and close silently before dawn.
